Playgroup Australia welcomes the Government’s decision to continue funding our national PlayConnect program.
For families with children experiencing behavioural or development issues consistent with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or ASD-like characteristics, PlayConnect playgroups provide a free, non-therapeutic space for children from infancy to five years of age.
Prior to entering into any formal diagnostic process, families are offered an opportunity to come together in a safe, supported playgroup to connect through play and to receive additional support where and when it is needed most.
Special thanks go to the Pymble Playgroup family and Playgroup NSW for hosting Paul Fletcher, Minister for Families and Social Services, and Christine Kay, Councillor for St Ives Ward during National Playgroup Week on Friday, 29 March 2019.
