Playgroup Australia and Playgroup NSW gathered with a small group of playgroup families at Parliament House for Safer Internet Day on Tuesday 11 February 2020. Together we raised awareness of child safety online, and to remind families and communities that’s it’s never too early to start the conversation around online safety and wellbeing.
Children today are engaging and accessing digital devices and online media more than ever. It has never been more important to ensure children remain safe online by establishing rules and guidelines for using devices both at home and on the go.
There are lots of ways parents, caregivers and community can help support, encourage and educate children to play, share, connect and grow through online experiences. Together, let’s ensure safe and respectful family use by following advice by the Office of the eSafety Commissioner.
