Volunteers and families creating a village

This week across Australia our member organisations have been recognising, reconnecting and reimagining the way we play – all made possible thanks to the incredible work of volunteers and families that make the playgroup village so special.

Essentially established by volunteers, playgroups make a world of difference to the way families with young children from birth to age 5, connect and are included in their communities. This volunteer movement is supported and strengthened through national advocacy and state and territory playgroup initiatives.

The work and commitment of volunteers is invaluable to responding to local needs to create safe and welcoming spaces to play, learn, connect and grow. Creating stronger families and stronger communities by bringing everyone together through play.
